National Day (October 1): Marks the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. This day is celebrated across the country with ceremonies, flag-raising, fireworks, and large-scale travel.
Mid-Autumn Festival (October 6 in 2025): A traditional Chinese festival symbolizing family reunion and harvest. People enjoy mooncakes, hang lanterns, and admire the bright full moon together.
In 2025, the two holidays fall together, creating an extended 8-day Golden Week.
